We spent eight days at the beginning of July exploring the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula, centering around Big Manistique Lake. Along the way we did a lot of fishing (didn't catch any), a lot of sky-gazing, and we went to Pictured Rocks National Seashore and the Log Slide, on Lake Superior; Tahquamenon Falls; Seney National Wildlife Refuge; and the city of Manistique. On our last day we went to Sleeping Bear Dunes just outside Traverse City. It was a beautiful vacation. The blog is here:
